We don’t hire recruitment experts unless they have built an established career in either IT or Telecommunications and have spent their professional lives perfecting the trade. Our success lies completely in the quality of our consultants.

Matt Huddle

Meet Matt, our Founder and Director, the man who built Rubix Solutions from scratch. His chief responsibility is Rubix’s business development and long-term growth strategy. Matt brings technical depth and some sharp thinking to the business, drawn from over fifteen years of both recruitment services and sales in the telecommunications and information technology sectors across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Ryan Surgett
Head of Recruitment

Ryan is an experienced recruitment leader with over 12 years industry experience. During his tenure at Rubix, Ryan has enjoyed notable personal success, whilst driving Rubix growth in the Defence & IT sectors, respectively. Ryan has fostered key relationships with leading Defence Primes, SME’s, consultancies & start-ups.

Outside of work Ryan is an avid traveller, having visited 30 plus countries to date.

Ryan is always on had to connect with candidates & clients/prospects alike, placing pride on his knowledgeable & personal approach.

Nick Wachman
Accounts Director

With over a decade of expertise in recruitment, business development, senior management, and executive coaching, Nick has consistently driven success by leveraging his deep understanding of business operations from the client side. Sean Donnelly
Business Development Director - APAC

Sean is an International Recruitment Consultant who possesses extensive experience recruiting across Europe and the Asia Pacific markets. Sean’s proven himself to be a vital piece of the Rubix puzzle in building strategic pipelines of resource pools across Telecommunications verticals. Sean lives to the motto “The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.”

Sean is passionate about the evolution of telecommunications networks, and believes the superseded fixed-line networks will be quickly overridden by the far more superior wireless technologies.

Cooper Garard
Senior Recruitment Consultant

Cooper is an experienced business professional who has worked in various business environments between Australia and Canada, from building start-ups and taking them to market, to working for ASX-listed companies. Cooper has a keen interest in business and economics which helps him understand the ever-changing business landscapes, to identify trends and shifts that occur. Outside of work, Cooper is an avid traveller and spends his free time hiking, snowboarding or mountain biking. Cooper is always eager to connect with like-minded clients and candidates. Courtney is a highly skilled professional with a background in the Royal Australian Navy, possessing an NV1 security clearance and exceptional communication abilities. Transitioning from blue-collar recruitment to specialised fields including Fixed line & Wireless Telecommunications, IT, and Defence resourcing, she demonstrates adaptability and commitment to excellence.
